Writers Workshop of Horror nominated for 3rd Annual Black Quill Awards

Writers Workshop

Dark Scribe Magazine, the virtual magazine dedicated to the books that keep readers up at night, has announced that Writers Workshop of Horror (published by Woodland Press) has been nominated for the 3rd Annual Dark Scribe Magazine Black Quill Award, in the Best Dark Genre Book of Non-Fiction category.

The Black Quill Awards are handed out in eight unique categories and honor those works of dark genre literature – horror, suspense, and thrillers – from both mainstream and small press publishers. While six of the awards will recognize literary efforts, two awards will recognize important supporting aspects of book publishing: cover art and design and book trailer production – a growing marketing component of dark genre publishing.

To vote, you must be a registered reader of Dark Scribe Magazine (http://www.darkscribemagazine.com). Once registered, log in and click on the Reader Ballot button at right. Only one ballot per email address will be accepted.

Voting closes at 11:59 PM EST on Sunday, January 24th, 2010. Winners will be announced Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010.

Dark Scribe Magazine is a free web-based publication that focuses exclusively on the creative forces behind horror, suspense, thrillers, and other dark fiction and non-fiction works. While the thrust of the magazine is on writers, we maintain a strong secondary focus on the editors, artists, retailers, short story fiction markets, and Internet sites that support all aspects of dark genre literature. Our target audience includes readers of horror, suspense, thrillers and other dark genre fiction, genre authors, publishers, retailers, and webmasters, aspiring writers, and bibliophiles.
